Svetlana Partsuf
Russian teacher - Berkeley
All my life I wanted to be a teacher. The step, from playing school with assortment of plush toys and dolls to teaching and playing with children, was one of the best decisions made in my life. Received BA in Elementary Education at the Kishinev Pedagogical University in 1989. For 5 years worked as the elementary school teacher. Taught grades 1 through 3. For 4 years worked as the preschool teacher in United States. Strongly believe that game is the most useful and natural form of activity for kids of all ages. Games can be challenging, they can help develop vocabulary and make new friends, memorize poems, create a new story or play out the favorite book. Passionate book lover and reader. Teaching goal: instill in my students life-long interest in reading, to open their minds to the innumerable treasures of Russian literature.
